As we're preparing ourselves for next week's shipping, we got a few potentially severe Heat alerts for next week.
While we use vented boxes during the summer month, there is nothing in the world safe enough to ship insects in extreme heat, even tropical insects and we wouldn't be able to guarantee you Live insect arrival, something we take a lot of pride in!
To help prevent unnecessarily dead roaches we ask that you do the following:
Hold for Pick-up at Post Office which means you select that option during checkout and leave your number for the Post Office to call you. It is your responsibility to find out what local post office your Roaches will be held at as we have NO way of finding out. Our suggestion would be to talk to your Mail Person or check for the closest post office to your house. We may STILL delay your order depending on how long the Post office says it would take for the insects to arrive at your location.
Delay your Order until later in the week
If you do not select Hold for Pickup at the Post office, we may hold your order until we feel it is safe to ship your Insects at our discretion.
If we DO ship to you please keep a VERY CLOSE EYE on your tracking number to assure you can pick up your insects on arrival day or retrieve them from wherever the Postal Carrier leaves them.
We will make this decision on a case-by-case basis and by checking the weather for your zip code manually. Please do so yourself as well before ordering. If you're close enough to Hastings FL 32145, consider the "Pickup in Hastings" option to come out to our property to retrieve your order personally. If you feel more comfortable with a "No contact" pickup, that is no issue either and we can leave them outside for you in the shade on our Porch. Just let us know if you opt for Pickup which you would prefer.
If we decide it is not safe for the Insects to travel we will email you at the email address we have on file for that order and keep you updated.
